A kind note from a family in our ward with some chocolate chip cookies for him. The cookies did not last long enough to get a picture.
What a wonderful example this family is. And of course, my son, is an amazing very Nephi like young man

Recipe Compay Pork Roast
Our friend, Nick is "photo bombing" this because this is is favorite dinner that I make. I found it under the Six Sister website. As you have noticed I have found a lot of good recipes on this site. I am so grateful for the internet sharing and great recipes and kids who are so kind and love my cooking. It makes it easier and more fun to find more when I feel like I have a fan club!
I put some corn starch in this bottom one to thicken up the gravy.

Ingredients
- 1 (3-4 lbs) pork loin roast
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1/3 cup honey
- 1/3 cup soy sauce
- 3 tablespoons red wine vinegar
- 2 teaspoons dry mustard
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons cold water
Instructions
- Spray slow cooker with non-stick cooking spray.
- In a medium skillet, heat olive oil over medium high heat. Sprinkle salt and pepper on all sides of roast and then brown all sides of the roast in the olive oil (I usually sear each side for 2-3 minutes). Place roast in slow cooker (also, scrape whatever is left in the skillet into the slow cooker - it adds good flavor!).
- In a medium bowl, mix together honey, soy sauce, red wine vinegar, dry mustard, salt, garlic powder, and pepper. Pour over the top of the pork roast and cook on low for 5-7 hours (depending on the size of your roast).
- When finished cooking, remove roast from slow cooker and place on a serving place. Pour remaining liquid from slow cooker into a medium-sized saucepan and heat on stove over medium-high heat. Mix together cornstarch and cold water, then add to saucepan. Cook until sauce starts to thicken, then pour over the top of pork roast.

Celebrating my parent's 50th wedding anniversary and my Dad's 80th birthday!
This table had the type of candy from the time when my dad was a young boy. Kelly did a lot of the work. I am so thankful to have such great sister-in-laws that love my family and take so much time to make things so special. They each have so much talent that we are so blessed to have them share with us.
Speaking of talent, Stuart did this for my parents. Quite amazing!!!!
Hannah and Miss Finley Mae!
The ever silly and most fun Uncle Matthew. He is so tender and kind to our Mom and Dad. I love to see it. Eric's kids are so fun to be around. They genuinely love us and are so kind. They are really growing into huge helpers and can do so much at their young age to help out. They are quite wonderful at helping my parents and I love and appreciate that so much. Eric and Kelly are great helps as well.
Eli and Derek having a great chat
The crazyness begins. I love it!
Mom and Dad. Awww, so cute!!! I sure do love them. I would love to go see them at least once a week. When Derek leaves for his mission (and since Hannah already has her own place and is very independent) I will go as often as I possibly can to visit these wonderful people.
Derek and thoughtful Asher with my son who is SICK AND TIRED of pictures. I love you son!
Hannah and her buddy, Grandpa. (and Flash, I mean Derek in the background)
The stunning flowers in my parents side yard. And notice the wonderful temperature on the 4th of July at their house. (although, it isn't always this way)
Hannah and her people. Her people that love her unconditionaly and forever. Thank you

Just the amazing, silly, wonderful grandkids.
We decided this was the most fun we had ever had with the Ely's. I hope we always remember the feelings of this time together.
Thank you for the wonderful time we had together.
