Important time with family

We were able to go see some very important people this past week.  Our family.  Hannah and Grandpa are kindred souls.  They are so good together.  I love their relationship.  They are so silly together.  They are able to help each other laugh and be happy.  I love the way the love each other.

I was so grateful Hannah could get this time off work.  She is working hard as a CNA at an old folks home.  They are so lucky to have her!
Here is a bit of silliness from both Hannah and Derek with Grandpa.

Derek and Hannah helped out so much while we were there.  Hannah helped Grandma quite a bit in the meal preparation.  Grandma was so impressed with Hannah and how she was  so at ease and comfortable in the kitchen preparing food.  Derek helped move a lot of things for Grandma and help to take out garbage.  I sure do love these kids!
We were also able to see the Broadway show, "Wicked" for the second time.  We LOVED it!!!!!
Janna and her family came.  This is Marc right by Derek and Chelsea is by Hannah.  Chelsea is a cousin of mine.  She and her sister, Dione and Dione's 3 kids came as well.  We were all there because of my Aunt Liz.  She planned the whole thing.  Thank you so much Aunt Liz.  We had an amazing time.

I was also able to bring more food to my mom and dad.  They are so appreciative.  It makes me feel so good to be able to help them.  I am grateful they love and appreciate my food, even though it is frozen.   This time I brought out Chicken crescent marinara (a favorite of Derek's), Kale soup, and Taco soup.  This time I was not able to bring out nearly as much as I have in the past and as much as I wanted to.  I'll just have to get to cooking and bring more out!

Family Tree Bookstore History

I love this picture.  It brings back so many memories.  I loved to go and read at the bookstore.  I don't think that I really appreciated this until it was gone.  That is often the case.  Although, I really did love it at the time.  I know that was a big part of the reason why I love books.  Another reason is my dad helped me find the magic in books.
