Derek's last band concert for his junior year

Crazy snow

Sometimes we get crazy weather here.  This is why we are not supposed to plant flowers until after Mother's day.  I do enjoy the cold weather much more than the hot weather though.  I am definitely in the minority on that one.

Derek's Rock Concert

Derek was asked to play in a rock concert with a band called the "Fictionists" and a member of Neon Trees in Provo.  This was such an incredible opportunity!  We had a great time!  I loved it!  It was so much fun.  I had several people in the audience ask me if I knew someone in the band and I very proudly pointed and said "yes, that is my son".  Hannah came with us and Adrienne was so wonderful and came as well.  Hannah is such a great support to her brother.  I am so proud of her.  You could just see her face radiating with pride for her "little" brother.  I love my kids so much!  I will have a video of the songs that he did on YouTube.

Junior Prom

Hannah and Mom visit to Seattle

 This was a visit that Hannah and I took while Derek was gone on his high school tour to San Diego.  This picture that is framed of Hannah is above her Grandpa Ely's bed.  It was a very tender thing for her to see.  She took this picture of it.  It means so much to her.  I am so grateful to have such wonderful Grandparents who love my kids so much.  Both Hannah and Derek have always felt such a strong love from their grandparents.  We are so blessed.  Grandpa Ely really does try to make us feel special when ever we come to see him.  We sure do love him!

 What a wonderful day.  I hope that Hannah can remember always the profound love that all of her grandparents have for her and will always have for her.

We also went to visit Grandma Rita but I am very sad to say that I did not get any pictures this trip.

We also visited with Grandma and Grandpa Smith but I did not get any pictures there as well...  I will have to do better the next times we go, which I hope and pray will be often!

Derek's Junior High School band tour to San Diego

Derek had the wonderful opportunity to go to San Diego with his high school band, orchestra and choir groups.  He had a most amazing time.  This is the itinerary of his fun trip.

Bread delivery with my sweet Hannah

Hannah and I made some cute little loaves of bread and took them to some people in our ward today.  We took them to Bonnie and Steve Johnson, Bonnie is going through chemo and we took another loaf to Shauna Chrisitian who just lost her husband.  It was so wonderful to do this with Hannah.  The bread smelled amazing and we made enough to keep some for ourselves.  It was great to visit with these families and take my kind sweet Hannah with me.  A new nick name I have for Hannah is Mighty Mouse, small but mighty!
