Our dear neighbor and friend, Emily Schmuhl's wedding in San Francisco

We were invited to go to our neighbor and dear friend's wedding in San Francisco.  Hannah was asked to be one of her bridesmaids.  It was a most wonderful time together as a family and extended family with the Schmuhl family.

Here are some of the many many many many many (you get the idea) pictures. And this is going to go backwards unfortunately in the timeline.

Here of course is a picture of the wedding cake.

Richard, Sam, and Derek.  (you can tell how much Derek loves pictures, insert sarcasm here)  Richard has always been an honorary father for Derek

I sure do love these guys!  This is my "other son", Sam Schmuhl.  The kids have literally grown up together.

                     I absolutely LOVE this picture!

Hannah and Melanie Meaders.  Melanie has grown up in our ward.  Her father was our first Bishop even before the kids were born.  Now he is the Stake Patriarch.  Melanie lives all the way in Washington D.C.

 I love you two!!!
 Beautiful line!

Hannah is the 3rd in on the right, right next to the tall one.

Probably getting a little tired of pictures...

This was a wonderful time together.  We had an amazing time with the Schmuhl's.  We have known them and been neighbors for 25 years.  So grateful we could have these memories with them.

Derek's concert in Alpine Days

 Derek's fabulous solo!

I really wish we could put the video of these pictures here on this site.  He is a lot of fun to listen to and hang out with!  We watched the parade first before this concert.  Fortunately Derek loves to be early which has helped us on many occasions, such as this one.  It was of course VERY crowded and the time that they were told to be there for the performance was not enough time to get there before the huge crowd did.  We were quite early and were able to avoid most of that later crowd so we could get a sort of good parking place.

I feel so lucky to be able to be his mother.

Derek's Concert with a new band he is in, the Inevitables

This was in Alpine.  Derek is thoroughly loving music and would love to have a separate room that could hold all his instruments.  Right now he has 2 tenor saxophones, and a clarinet. I'm sure with the hard work he is doing he is well on his way to fill another room.  I wish you much success and much happiness with your goals Derek.

I wish I could include all the videos of him playing.  They will be on YouTube

Beautiful day in Redmond Oregon at work

This is one of my favorite places to go for work because of the incredible view in the summertime.  The smaller airports allow you that kind of view that you just don't see at the bigger airports.  What an amazing view, of course, as always, the picture doesn't do the real view justice.

4th of July in Seattle

Visiting with with Grandma Rita at her beautiful home.

This is probably the most beautiful view I have ever seen from some one's home.  We sure do love Grandma Rita.  She is a wonderful Grandma.

With favorite people.  Grandma and Grandpa Smith.
We were so sad that we weren't able to visit with Grandpa Ely.  We sure did miss him.  He was out of town taking care of Roma's children.  We can't wait to see him the next time we go out to visit.

Adrienne and Ian's Open House

What an AMAZING open house.  It was so organized and so well put together.  I LOVED it.  Way to go Adrienne and Ian (and their mothers).
I was so impressed with how it was all put together.  I just loved seeing that smile of Adrienne's that hasn't changed since she was a little girl.  I can still see that little girl looking up at me when she smiles and I love that!

Silly Hannah.  Of course my two best buddies came with me!
This was a drink table with a bunch of different sodas and flavors to put in the sodas.  They also had a menu card for suggestions for yummy drinks.
